Student Data Confirmation Procedures

Complete the Student Data Confirmation process through HomeLink

before the Wildcat Walkthrough!

Starting August 1st, parent/guardians must log into your PARENT account in the HomeLink portal at or access it through the notifications button in the Aeries Portal App (upper right hand corner). NEW families to Westwood will need to call or email the office to get your student’s individual Verified Passcode in order to access the portal.

After you have logged into HomeLink, go directly to “Data Confirmation” link (bottom right of page).


  • To make any changes, you will need to click on the “Change” button at the top or bottom of the current information screen.
  • Make sure to click “Save” when you change the data. You will need to refresh the screen in order to see your changes.
  • Click on the “Confirm and Continue” box at the end of each step. A check mark will appear after you have completed a step.

Please be sure all data is accurate, and that you have at least 2 emergency contacts listed. Correct names, telephone numbers, and medical information are vital for your student’s safety.

  • Click “Submit Final Confirmation”

There are eight steps to complete. Before to click ‘Confirm and Continue’ after completing each step:

  1. Family Information
  2. Student Information
  3. Parent/Guardian Information
  4. Emergency Contacts – Be sure parent/guardian e-mails are entered correctly. At least two local emergency contacts should be listed. Only those individuals listed in this section will be authorized to pick up your student from school.
  5. Medical Information
  6. Document Review – Universal Form, District Policies, Military Release (click to accept, but not applicable to K-5 students), Student Insurance Notification
  7. Authorizations and Prohibitions (Parent Information Packet, Universal Form, Responsible Use Policy and Google Agreement, Media Release Policy, Discrimination, Harassment & Bullying policy, Zero Tolerance for Drugs & Weapons Project, Health Requirements/Policies Acknowledgement, Google Suite Agreement)
  8. Final Data Confirmation – be sure to click the ‘Finish and Submit’ button at the bottom of the screen. You will then be prompted to “Print New Emergency Card”. We recommend that you download a copy for your records. We do NOT need you to provide us with a printed copy, as we will have access to it electronically.

If you have more than one student at Westwood Elementary/MDUSD, you will need to update each student’s record individually. Use the “Change Student” function to update each student’s record. This process will need to be completed in order to receive your student’s tentative class assignment.
