Westwood Elementary, established in 1958, is a K-5 public school in the Mt. Diablo Unified School District.  We have an enrollment of approximately 400 students.  We currently have two classrooms at each grade level in addition to our six Special Education Classrooms.  We have a dedicated staff of 60 including our Principal, Teachers, Classroom Assistants, Interpreters, Custodians, Office, Noon Supervisors, Librarian, Cafeteria Manager, Vocal Music, Physical Education, ELD and more!

Westwood Elementary became a California Distinguished School in 2008!  

Westwood is proud to be part of the El Dorado Middle School and Concord High School feeder pattern.

Our Vision

The vision of Westwood Elementary School is to create and maintain a safe environment that ensures every member of the school community reaches their highest, individual level of academic achievement as determined by state and national standards. The staff adheres to a standards based curriculum that meets the needs of our diverse community and is committed to helping each child reach their highest individual potential.
