CARES Expanded Learning Program

Mt. Diablo CARES Expanded Learning Program is a unique collaboration between MDUSD and Bay Area Community Resources, with the motto, children learning to change the world. The program offers various opportunities for students to engage in Homework Help, Nutrition Education, Gardening, STEM, Art & Crafts, Clubs, and occasional field trips.

Our program at Westwood strives to create a welcoming, inclusive, and well-rounded program. From starting a garden from scratch to forming a soccer club, students are able to expand their interests and be a part of the Westwood community.

Our Hours of Operation are from school dismissal to 6 PM. There is no cost to participate. Please contact Diana Hernandez (Program Coordinator) for further information at hernandezd@mdusd.org.
